Day 1: You will arrive in Istanbul airport then transfer to your hotel.
There is the possibility to welcome you and make a tour in Istanbul
Night in hotel, Istanbul

Day 2: In the morning, transfer from the hotel to Istanbul airport.
We welcome you in Van airport and drive you to Dogubeyazit (2 hours).
On our way we will have a look at the beautiful Muradiye waterfalls.
Check in at the hotel in Dogubeyazit.
After dinner we will have a meeting to check the last details about the ascent.
Night in hotel, Dogubeyazit

Day 3: After breakfast, we will go to Mount Ararat /Cevirme Village at 2200 m by minibus. Our baggage and skis are carried by horses.
Walking up to Camp1 at 2800 m. (2-3 hours). Tea and food will be ready for us.
Night in Camp1 (minimum -10° during the night)


Day 4: Acclimatization by skiing until 4000 m.(5-6 hours) We ski back to Camp1
Night in Camp 1


Day 5: We ski up to Camp 2 at 3750 m by carrying our personal equipment.
If porters can’t climb until there we will stop at 3600 m (2-3 hours).
When camp is set up we can keep on skiing.
Night in Camp2 (minimum -15° during the night)


Day 6: Summit day. Before leaving the camp we need to get our duffle bags ready inside the tents. The duffle bags will be directly brought down to camp 1.
We have breakfast in the middle of the night then start the ascent.
After skiing 6 or 8 hours, we finally reach the summit with a breathtaking panoramic view over Turkey, Iran and Armenia. (minimum -30° at the top)
We come back to Camp 1 to have some rest and eat.

Day 7: We eat in Camp 1 and then walk down to Cevirme Village (1-2 hours) where our minibus will take us back to our hotel in Dogubeyazit.
You will have time to get refreshed at the hotel and to leave your luggage there.
We will visit Ishak Pasa Palace (Ottoman period).
Then we go back to the hotel to celebrate the ascent!

Day 8: After breakfast in the hotel, we will go to Van to visit Akdamar Island (with a beautiful ancient Armenian church) and the Fortress of Van with a splendid view over the lake of Van.
Night in hotel, Van.


Day 9: Transfer to Van airport. Then you will catch your transit flight in Istanbul airport.

Arrival to Van Airport. After Akdamar island tour, arrival to Adilcevaz through Van Ercis and lodging in a guest house.


Day 2: Mt. Suphan Summit 4058 m. - Dogubeyazit
Arrival to the peak after an early breakfast (9-10 hours). Return through the same route. Return to Adilcevaz for lodging.


Day 3: Adilcevaz – Dogubeyazit

Travel to the second camp from the first camp (3-4 hours). Lodging in tents, transfer of equipments on horses.


Day 6: Mt. Ararat Summit ( 5137m. )

After an early breakfast, transfer to Nemrut Crater by bus. Hike around the crater, return to Adilcevaz and lodging at a guesthouse.


Day 3: Mt. Suphan Summit 4058 m.

Step by step let’s follow the legend of Ararat. The dwelling mountain of Noah’s Ark according to Holy Book. Turkey’s highest summit 5137m.
From April to end of May you can ski to the top and go down by ski to 2800 m. in 4 days.
Snow quality is really good and abundant from 2500 m.
This tour is open to fit people having a good ski level.
Non-Turkish citizens will be required a climbing visa. To get this permit you will need to send us 2 months before the ascent one copy of your passport and the address of the nearest Turkish consulate where you live.
